A bag full of illegal drugs was found and seized by customs inspectors at Khalid Port, foiling a smuggling attempt into the UAE. The Sharjah Ports, Customs, and Free Zones Authority said that the bag, which weighed 10.046 kilograms and contained ten rolls of narcotics, was detected by a radiological device during a routine inspection of a container.
The seized drugs were handed over to the concerned authorities for legal action. The Authority reiterated its dedication to using its resources and enhancing its efforts to prevent smuggling attempts, especially of drugs, at all Sharjah customs ports.
It also affirmed its commitment to ensuring the safety and security of society and to supporting the growth of the national economy.
