Dubai Police have issued a warning to motorists who engage in risky behaviours such as protruding their head or any body part out of the window; sitting on the roof or the sunroof while the vehicle is in motion. These actions will result in a fine, black points, and the vehicle being seized for a certain period. The authority reported that five people were injured last year after falling from moving vehicles. They also recorded 1,183 violations and impounded 707 vehicles whose drivers were driving β€œin a way that jeopardized their own safety and the safety of others.”

The police said that drivers who commit these offences will face a 2,000 AED fine, 23 black points, and the vehicle being impounded for 60 days. Moreover, the owner will have to pay another Dh50,000 to retrieve the impounded vehicle.
